Did you know that the creation of a trademark does not imply its registration? It is a feature that ignores a significant percentage of the market, leaving room for predators to steal intellectual property and profit at the expense of the victims.

Did you know that the creation of a trademark does not imply its registration? It is a feature that ignores a significant percentage of the market, leaving room for predators to steal intellectual property and profit at the expense of the victims.

Take advantage of the SME Fund grant in cooperation with the Intellectual Property Office of the European Union and register your company's trademark in Greece and/or the European Union with grant 75% at the application fee.

In particular, the fees for the trademark application, the additional fees per class (per service you wish to register) and the fees for examination, registration, publication and suspension of publication at national and European level are subsidised. In national registration the benefit is relatively small due to the low cost of the classes but this does not change the fact that it is a very good opportunity to secure your brand.

The creation of your own, unique in your opinion, trademark does not imply its registration in the market. At any time it may be used accurately or counterfeited by third parties who will take advantage of its lack of formal registration and possibly profit at your expense.

Responsibility - Reliability

Our company is not a law firm, but a business consulting and marketing company, with a wide range of services in the business world (NSP, business plan, financial analysis, marketing plans, etc.).

In the field of brands, it is highly specialised due to its activity in advertising and branding. In combination with the permanent cooperation - legal coverage by cooperating specialized lawyers, it can offer targeted support in the strategy of registration and exploitation of distinctive signs, with comprehensive guidance on copyright and industrial rights issues.

At the extensive review stage, the Provider's legal advisor makes a basic assessment of the case and provides an advisory opinion on the registration strategy.

The preparation and submission of the application shall be carried out by the opponent:
For the submission of a Greek trademark application, the opponent submits to the Industrial Property Organisation the application that has been prepared for the Client and bears his/her own digital signature.

For filing a European trademark application (EUIPO):
- When there is an active subsidy, the application is submitted with an authorization provided by the Customer to the counterparty through the DARC account.
- Once the grant has been approved, or in the absence of a programme, the opponent creates an EUIPO account in the name of the Client, through which the submission process is completed and a request for reimbursement of the grant is submitted.

What does it mean to register a trademark?;

It is important to understand that the registration of your trademark, even when completed, is not absolute protection against possible legal claims or a competitor trying to register a name similar to yours. However, it does provide you with a powerful legal tool that can be used in the event of litigation.

In the event of a legal dispute, trademark registration gives you the opportunity to entrust your case to a qualified legal advisor, who can take the necessary steps to defend your rights.
